Featured is an intense blue topaz (World of Color 7.58; T6 I S8) that weighs approximately 17.26 carat (21.00 x 14.00 x 7.92 mm; length and width are estimated). Also featured is a moderate purplish red tourmaline of
(World of Color 10RP; T4 / S8) that weighs approximately 16.67 carat (20.90 x 14.00 x 8.87 mm; length and width are estimated).
Surrounding the topaz and tourmaline are sixteen each (thirty-two total) round brilliant cut diamonds of very good make, F to H color, VS clarity, that weigh approximately 0.02 to 0.06 carat each (1.85 to 2.5 mm) for a total estimated weight of 1.28 carats.
lso surrounding the topaz and tourmaline are three each (six total) tapered aguette diamonds of F to G color, WS clarity, that weigh approximately 0.06 to 0.07 carat each (3 x 2 x 1 to 3.3 x 1.3 x 2.0 mm; measurements are estimated) for a total estimated weight of 0.39 carats. Down the center of the main frame are four round brilliant cut diamonds of very good make, F to H color, VS clarity, that weigh approximately 0.12 carat each (3.25 mm) for a total estimated weight of 0.48 carats. The high polished, handcrafted and assembled three piece convertible brooch can be worn in one full piece or separated into two smaller brooches, one with the topaz and one with the tourmaline. The topaz and tourmaline are bezel set, surrounding tapered baguette diamonds are also bezel set, while the surrounding round diamonds are pave set. The four round diamonds at the center piece are pave set and the trillion diamonds are bezel set. There are three spring loaded double pin and single closure for each brooch. The two separate brooches fit together within the larger brooch frame. Securing the two brooches are tube grooves and two hooks on the back side of the center line.
The two brooches can be fitted into the groove and a 'U' shaped hinge flips up and is secured with tension
