Diamond and Ruby Bee Brooch in 14 Karat Yellow Gold
14k yellow gold (Tested 14K with Kee Tester; no trademark) diamond bee pin. The piece features:
Metal Weight: 4.90 grams
Stones: Nineteen single cut diamonds of F to H color and VS-1 to SI-2 clarity that weigh approximately 0.015 to 0.03 carats each (1.5 to 2.0 mm for an estimated total weight of 0.44 carats. The pin also features two purplish red rubies (suspected based on color and inclusions; RI not attainable) that weigh approximately 0.04 carats each 2.0 mm).
The rubies are secured in four prong, open base baskets; the diamonds are bead set. The bee shaped pin features a rhodium plated body with diamonds on it with the rubies acting as the bee's eyes. The pendant is cast and assembled. Condition is very good; craftsmanship is very good.
